DATA DELETION REQUEST

This page explains how to request deletion of your Salareen personal data (account, learning records, optional biometrics, and related operational data), consistent with GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, COPPA, FERPA (via your institution), and similar laws.

1. WHO CAN REQUEST DELETION - An individual account holder (or parent/guardian for a child account) - An authorized school/institution administrator for student records under their control (school-official / DPA relationship)

2. HOW TO SUBMIT A REQUEST Option A — Email (preferred for audit trail): To: privacy@salareen.com Subject: Data deletion request Include: the email on your Salareen account, full name, and whether you want (i) full account deletion or (ii) specific data categories only.

Option B — In-app / account: Sign in → Account → contact Support, or use Contact → Support with subject "Data deletion request".

Option C — Institutional: School admins should email privacy@salareen.com with institution name and the student identifiers under their directory.

3. WHAT WE DELETE When a verified deletion request is approved we delete or anonymize, as applicable: - Account profile and authentication credentials - Learning history, assessments, homework submissions, and mastery signals - Rewards/points tied to the account (where not legally required to retain) - Optional biometric embeddings and consent records for vision features - Device/session tokens associated with the account

4. WHAT WE MAY RETAIN (LIMITED) We may retain narrowly scoped records when required by law or legitimate dispute/fraud prevention (e.g. billing invoices, security logs) for the minimum period required, then delete or anonymize them.

5. TIMELINE We acknowledge requests within 7 days and complete verified deletions within 30 days (or sooner where local law requires), unless a lawful extension applies. Complex institutional requests may take longer; we will explain why.

6. VERIFICATION To protect against unauthorized deletion we may ask you to verify control of the account email or provide institution authorization before acting.
